Feuille Fable
A full-stack book-journaling app where readers log the books they read and keep private notes, reviews, and ratings.

The problem
Apps like Goodreads make every review public and offer no space for personal reflection. Avid readers who want to engage deeply with their books — noting favourite passages, private impressions, and ratings — had no dedicated place to do it.
The solution
I designed and built Feuille Fable end-to-end: a React single-page app (Material UI, Sass, React Router) backed by a Node.js/Express REST API with a MySQL database managed through Knex. Readers search for a book, create a log entry, and record private notes and an overall rating out of five. The frontend is deployed on Netlify with the API running on a Node server.
The results
A complete full-stack product shipped from concept to deployment — data model, REST API, responsive UI, and hosting. It demonstrates the whole development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.
